Authorization: Bearer <credential>

In the Smartsheet app, open Account → Personal Settings → API Access, then click Generate new access token. Store the token securely. Smartsheet notes tokens are environment-specific; generate separate tokens for commercial, Gov, or regional environments as needed. See Get Started and the linked generate API key help article.

Smartsheet OAuth app (Developer Tools registration) oauth2 discovered Set up OAuth ↗

Register a licensed Business-plan-or-higher Smartsheet user for Developer Tools at Developer Tools Registration. Then use Developer Tools to register your client application for OAuth, as described in the OAuth guide. This is only needed for apps that request user authorization to access Smartsheet data.
