$ gcloud auth login

Authenticate to Google Cloud using Application Default Credentials or the Google Cloud CLI as described in Authenticate to Compute Engine. For local development, the easiest path is to run gcloud auth application-default login or gcloud auth login, then use the resulting OAuth 2.0 access token with the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform scope.
