nytimes.com
The New York Times publishes news, reviews, and related editorial content. Its developer portal provides programmatic access to selected article metadata, books data, top stories, and related datasets for non-commercial use.
NYTimes exposes 11 documented REST APIs on `api.nytimes.com`; current public developer-portal docs show a single app-based API key used in the `api-key` query parameter for the active APIs, while the deprecated Community API remains listed in an older OpenAPI spec but is no longer available through the developer portal.

Create or sign in to an account on the NYT Developer Portal. Then open My Apps, click + New App, create an app, enable the API products you want on the app’s APIs tab, and save. In the app’s API Keys section, copy the key value (used in requests). The portal also shows a secret, but the public API docs say requests should include your API key in the query string.
