In the Google Cloud Console Credentials page, create OAuth 2.0 client credentials for your application after enabling the YouTube Analytics API. Then complete a standard Google OAuth consent flow to obtain a bearer access token with the scope required by the method you call, such as https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly for reports.query and https://www.googleapis.com/auth/yt-analytics.readonly or https://www.googleapis.com/auth/yt-analytics-monetary.readonly for analytics and group methods. The docs say all YouTube Analytics API methods require OAuth 2.0 authorization and that API keys are optional but not necessary.
