VersionEye is a service for scanning software dependency files to identify outdated packages, security vulnerabilities, and license compliance issues. It provides reports and notifications for open source dependency risks.
VersionEye exposes one documented HTTP REST API surface: API V1 for dependency scan results, with an OpenAPI spec and API-key-based authentication (documented in the spec as an `apiKey` header and shown on the homepage as `Authorization: Bearer ...`).

Create an account via Sign up. The homepage advertises “Get your API key now!” for API access, but the public docs reviewed do not show the exact account page where the key is created or copied. After signing in, retrieve your API key from the VersionEye account/application UI and use it with the API.
