Create a Starburst Enterprise user in the SEP UI; the REST API initial setup notes say you must create a user with the sysadmin role through the UI before using the API. Then use that username and password for HTTP Basic auth. See Starburst Enterprise REST API.
In Starburst Galaxy, go to Access → API auth token and generate a token. The docs say this menu is only visible to users with the accountadmin role. See API authentication tokens and the Starburst Galaxy API.
