Create an account at SimplyRETS, then create an app from Create an app. The API docs say that when you create an app, you get API credentials for your listings; use them as HTTP Basic auth username/password. For live MLS data, you must first have RETS or RESO Web API credentials from your MLS/data provider as described in the FAQ.
