Sheetlabs is a platform for turning spreadsheets into APIs and managing the underlying data, users, and access controls. It also hosts some public data APIs, including the Rig Veda and Vedic Society APIs referenced in public OpenAPI registries.
Sheetlabs exposes a REST Administrative API on app.sheetlabs.com authenticated with HTTP Basic auth using a Sheetlabs account password or API auth token, and the verified public Sheetlabs-hosted open-data REST APIs Rig Veda and Vedic Society with published OpenAPI specs and no authentication.

Create a Sheetlabs account at Register. If you need access to a private API, choose Join An Existing Organisation during signup and wait for approval from that organisation's admin, as described in Authentication. For API calls, use HTTP Basic auth with your Sheetlabs username (email address) and either your account password or an API auth token. To get or rotate the token, open Account → My Account in the Sheetlabs app; the docs say tokens look like t_... and can be regenerated from that page.
