Use a Google Cloud project with the Service Directory API enabled as described in Configure Service Directory. For user credentials, sign in with the Google Cloud CLI via `gcloud auth login`. For local application credentials, use `gcloud auth application-default login`. Service Directory REST methods document Google OAuth authorization scopes such as https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform.
