Scite is an AI-powered research platform for discovering and evaluating scientific literature, including citation context and Smart Citations that show whether later work supports or contradicts a claim. It also offers AI-assisted literature search and assistant features for researchers and organizations.
Scite exposes a general HTTP API at api.scite.ai, a separate Assistant API, and a streamable-HTTP MCP server at https://api.scite.ai/mcp authenticated via Scite-issued bearer tokens or MCP OAuth.

Point your MCP client at the server URL and approve access in the browser. The server supports OAuth Dynamic Client Registration (RFC 7591), so the client registers itself automatically — no developer-portal app, client_id, or client_secret to create.
