MediaWiki is open-source wiki software used to run collaborative websites such as wikis. The mediawiki.org site hosts documentation, code-related resources, and a running MediaWiki instance exposing its own APIs.
mediawiki.org documents two HTTP developer surfaces on its own host: the MediaWiki Action API at `/w/api.php` and the MediaWiki REST API at `/w/rest.php`; docs also describe OAuth consumer registration and bot passwords, but the public docs reviewed do not cleanly bind those credentials to these specific mediawiki.org endpoints.
