Sign in on the Lufthansa Developer Network and apply for an application key from the Open API portal as described in Getting Started. The portal states you receive two values, a key/client ID and a shared secret/client secret, which you exchange for a bearer token before calling the API. Note the homepage currently says registration is on hold until further notice.
