For direct cloud access to LSEG Data Platform, obtain a Client ID (Service ID) and Client Secret from LSEG. The Access Credentials guide says these are provided in a welcome email and that you should contact your LSEG Account Manager to acquire platform credentials. The same guide also describes the older OAuth 2.0 password-grant variant and notes that version 2 uses service IDs/client secrets.

Generate an application key at the App Key Generator. The Access Credentials guide states that platform access via the libraries requires an App Key for the older OAuth v1/password-grant path, and that users can generate/manage application IDs there.
