LocationIQ provides location data services including geocoding, reverse geocoding, routing, timezone lookup, nearby place search, and map tiles/static maps. It is used by developers to add address lookup, routing, and map rendering to applications.
LocationIQ exposes two public HTTP integration surfaces: its core geocoding/routing/timezone REST API at `https://us1.locationiq.com/v1` and its map tile/static map HTTP endpoints; both require a LocationIQ access token passed as the `key` query parameter. No public GraphQL API, MCP server, or CLI was found.

Sign up or log in via the LocationIQ dashboard. After verifying your email and opening the dashboard, go to the API Access Tokens tab and reveal or create an access token. LocationIQ recommends creating a separate token per application and optionally applying referrer or IP restrictions from the dashboard. See LocationIQ Access Token and Security.
