In your FusionAuth instance, create an API key following Authenticate with our APIs. Scope the key to the minimum permissions needed; the docs and MCP blog both recommend narrowly scoped keys. You use this key in the Authorization header for HTTP APIs, and tools such as the MCP server read it from API_KEY_APIKEYAUTH.
