In the Google API Console, create or select a project, enable the Fact Check Tools API for that project, then create an API key following Google's API key instructions. Use the key when calling the FactCheck Claim Search API.

Create an OAuth client in the Google API Console for your project, enable the Fact Check Tools API, and complete OAuth consent configuration. For the ClaimReview Read/Write API, the Google account used must also be authorized in Google Search Console as a restricted or full user for the target site, as described in the Fact Check Tools API guide and Fact Check Tools about page.
