Create or select a Google Cloud project, enable People API, then configure the OAuth consent screen as described in Get Ready to Use the People API and Configure OAuth consent. In Google Cloud Console Credentials, create an OAuth client ID for your app type, run the user OAuth flow requesting the People API scopes you need, and send the resulting access token to people.googleapis.com.
