Confluent provides a managed data streaming platform built around Apache Kafka, including Confluent Cloud for running Kafka clusters, connectors, stream governance, and stream processing. It also offers tooling and APIs for managing cloud resources and accessing operational metrics.
Confluent exposes authenticated Confluent Cloud HTTP APIs plus a separate Metrics HTTP API, and a Confluent CLI; documented auth methods are Cloud API keys or Confluent STS bearer tokens for the HTTP APIs, with CLI login using saved credentials.

Create a Confluent Cloud API key for your user or service account in the Confluent Cloud Console API keys page or with the CLI as documented in the Confluent Cloud API reference using confluent api-key create / ccloud api-key create --resource cloud. Use the key ID as the HTTP Basic username and the secret as the password.
Configure OAuth/OIDC for a workload identity as described in OAuth 2.0 Authentication for Confluent Cloud APIs, then obtain a Confluent Security Token Service token following Authenticate access to Confluent Cloud APIs using Confluent STS tokens. Send the resulting token as a bearer token.
