In the BigCommerce control panel, create an API account from Settings → API Accounts as described in API Accounts. When you create the account, BigCommerce provides an access token plus the store hash/client details needed for API calls. Grant the scopes required by your app.
Create a Storefront API token using the Admin authentication APIs documented under Storefront API Tokens. This token is minted for a store and then used to call storefront-facing APIs such as GraphQL Storefront and Storefront REST.
