Google Cloud AutoML is Google's managed service for training and using custom machine learning models with limited ML expertise. The `automl.googleapis.com` domain is the service endpoint for that AutoML API within Google Cloud.
automl.googleapis.com exposes a Google Cloud AutoML HTTP API at https://automl.googleapis.com, authenticated with Google Cloud OAuth access tokens and, where supported by Google Cloud APIs, API keys.

Create or select a Google Cloud project in the Google Cloud Console, enable the AutoML API in the API Library, then authenticate using Google Cloud credentials. For local use, the easiest path is to install the gcloud CLI and run gcloud auth application-default login for Application Default Credentials or gcloud auth login / gcloud auth print-access-token for REST calls. Service accounts can also be used via Application Default Credentials.
In the Google Cloud Console Credentials page, create an API key under your Google Cloud project. Restrict the key to the needed APIs and origins as described in Manage API keys. Note that Google Cloud documents API keys as usable only for APIs that accept them; many resource-based Cloud APIs instead require OAuth access tokens.
