Authenticate as a Google Cloud principal and obtain an access token using the Google Cloud auth flow documented at Authenticate for using REST. For local CLI use, the easiest path is to install the gcloud CLI and run gcloud auth login or gcloud auth application-default login, then mint tokens as needed. The API Keys API methods document Google OAuth authorization scopes such as https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform.
