Authenticate using Google Cloud Application Default Credentials or user credentials as described in Authenticate to Access Approval. The easiest path is usually to run gcloud auth application-default login for local development, or use a service account in Google Cloud and let ADC provide an OAuth 2.0 access token with the needed IAM permissions.
